Mummy 101: How To Pack For Holidays Like A Pro

Mummy 101: How To Pack For Holidays Like A Pro

Travelling with a young family doesn’t have to be a nightmare, but preparation is always key. While packing for just yourself is serious business, adding another little person into the mix can make things a little tricky, so we’ve put together our go-to checklist of must-pack items for short and long haul trips to make sure you and bub are ready to tackle everything, from hungry bellies to insect bites.

The must-have carry all

It goes without saying that every savvy traveler needs the ultimate bag – chic (obviously), great quality and big-enough to fit all of bub’s essentials, and yours. Finding a style that will transition from baby bag and handbag to carry-on and overnight bag is crucial. Livvy and Harry’s Travel Tote Nappy Bag in Black bag is the answer to your packing prayers – it’s large and sturdy in design and has plenty of pockets, so you can separate your items from bubs and keep your essentials in order.

Nappies and wipes

ALWAYS take more than you think you need. As well as packing plenty in your suitcase and baby bag, take a small bag like the Nappy Clutch in Black that can hold a few spare nappies and wipes when you’re on the go.

Medical kit

A mini medical kit is an absolute lifesaver as a new mum – stock it with an infant and/or a child thermometer, bandaids, children’s Panadol, antibacterial wipes, tweezers, sunscreen and more… you never know when you’ll need to deal with an insect bite or sore gums.

Spare clothes

Accidents happen. Need we say more?

Food

More often than not, the problem of a whingey baby (and a whingy mum) can be fixed with a feed. Livvy and Harry bags come with bottle holders for easy storage and access of formula and water bottles, plus plenty of pockets for stashing grab ‘n’ go snacks.

Plastic and zip lock bags

Whether it’s leftover snacks, a leaking bottle, dirty nappies or wet clothes, plastic or zip lock bags are must-haves for the organised mum.

Toys

Keep them small and multi-purpose, but don’t take any toys you (or bub) would be upset about losing. Livvy and Harry bags have large zip up compartments to keep essentials safely stored so you have instant comfort and fun on hand at a moment’s notice.
